In some down time I visited the show floor for the Washington Auto Show to take a peek at some of their advance technology vehicles. It was a huge carpeted expanse of polished beautiful cars, and a special section showcasing alternative fuel vehicles and advanced vehicle technology. Numerous charge stations and an E85 advanced feedstock group had booths.

As an indication of expected future revenue, Toyota filled up much of their booth with a four-screen 2010 Prius technology tour six different colors of Prius including one plug-in, which seemed to be more of any single model vehicle on the show floor. Volkswagen emphasized their clean diesel engines and had their TDI line in a clean row, but most of the clean diesel advertisements for VW and others did not strongly emphasize biodiesel. Ford had several hybrid+ variations out in sequence. And Honda’s CRZ and VW’s Up and near production examples of the Nissan LEAF and the LCD TV infused Chevy Volt were all on display.

I took some photographs that are available here for interested visitors [DC Auto Photos]. It is hard to pick favorites, but feel free to let me know which cars you wouldn’t mind in our garage or parking space.
